In the wake of Hurricane Francine, the Lowlander Center was able to set up emergency, portable solar panels at the tribal center for the Grand Caillou/Dulac peoples. The solar panels allowed the community to have a cooling center, refrigeration, and a place to cook food. We continue to accept any support, monetary or otherwise, for repair and restoration of communities that were impacted by Hurricane Francine.
You can read more about the solar panel project and the workshop that we hosted about it here: Emergency Solar Panel Workshop a Success.
