Ms Sharon Lavigne and Rev. Kristina Peterson were presenters for the Climate Crisis Policy network's faith working group.
The network coordinated by the Unitarian Universalist College for Social Justice extended the invitation to the Lowlander Center and St. James Rising due to our partnership with the Unitarian Universalist Service Committee. The CCP working group reflects a robust group of faith leaders who are crafting and/or supporting legislative policies that respond to core faith values. In so doing, this group listens to frontline communities to understand the impact of the climate crisis on the lives and lifeways of their families and community. Ms. Lavigne shares a powerful faith message of courage and hope and a challenge to us to become more acutely aware and actively engaged in the right to life.
