April 22nd marked the 50th anniversary of Earth Day. We hope today (and all days) we can join together in envisioning a future of respect and stewardship for our Earth.
In honor of Earth Day, Bill Hooke of the American Meteorological Society featured Shirley Laska’s book, Louisiana’s Response to Extreme Weather: A Coastal State’s Adaptation Challenges and Successes, in a write-up on his website. Read the feature at “Living in the Real World.” Access Shirley’s book for free here.
Update December of 2020: As an open access publication, there have been nearly 24,000 downloads of Shirley’s book this year!
